Southcoast Surfboards is located in the mecca of Australia's surfing capital, Torquay Australia.

At present we are one of the very few Australian manufactures who have survived the influx of cheap Asian imports. We have been able to stand tall and provide a premium quality product at a feasible price.

The company is solely owned by Ian Chisholm the head shaper.

Southcoast distributes boards both domestically and internationally and specialises in building handmade custom surfboards using established glassing techniques from the 1960's.

Quality, style and function are our company goals and we won't sacrifice quality for quantity. We are a small hands on, old skool type of company, where Ian does all the shaping along with some guest shapers helping out from time to time, as well as glassing all the resin tinted boards.

Ian's right hand man Sean Nettleton helps in the final preparation of the boards which are finally given the once over by Ian to check that they are up to his standard of excellence.

So if you are ordering a custom, or purchasing off the racks, you will be dealing with the person who makes the board for you right down to the finer details of packing and shipping that board for you without damage door to door.
